Hi all! First, amazing board!
I am facing Wi-Fi issues with a CM4 Lite 4GB Ram Wi-Fi. I managed to install your image and OMV, but it seems that after a few minutes, the board gets a new IP, even though I set up my router to give it a fix IP. Nevertheless, everytime I turn it off, wi-fi completely stops working. It seems also that with every reboot I need to log in on the the Desktop and under the Settings, "activate" wi-fi again, by choosing it and setting it to automatic. I ofcourse do have an Antena (official one!), I seted up Wi-Fi according to "Wifisupplicant" mode as fromt he FAQ here in the forum. At this moment, I do not want to use a wired network, this will probably be on the future. Any help here?
If someone can also help me with the linux patch file, would be great too! (I experienced with standard RaspiOS image and patch command, but get an error in line 4 - Maybe I will open a new post for that!)
Thank you all in advance!
Actualy I just finished work and would start playing with it again right now! I just "make-shifted" assembled it on a case with a decent PS and some hot swap bays.
I tryied also with RaspiOS, with their imaging tool. I already tryied what you suggested, with following behaviour:
Booting from a USB Stick (RaspiOS) "works", very slow. So I am not sure if the problem persisted cause it was nearly impossible to use it, but wi-fi was there.
Booting from the same image on a Hard disk, but then, it does not recognize ANY wi-fi card, so, I am not really sure where is the problem. Hard wired in on the network, and update it, without any suceess: still, NO wi-fi card/interface present.
With your OS it kinda worked, I guess, that was how I installed OMV, over Wi-Fi, but it was pretty forward and "fast", at least for the dowload part. but then I got the problems. It is on right now (Interceptor OS), but weithout any wifi connection, although my router shows it to me, I can not connect to it.
I just connected a mous/keyboard/monitor, and your settings are again empty, I choose wi-fi again from settings, automatic, and now it work, but loose IP after a few minutes.
P.S. Anyway to make it boot from HD? After several instalations, on many different HDs, it still needs a USB with your image on to boot to SDA0 or SDB1 (or something).???
I will be here for a while, so, if I should trty anything, no problem, just write it.
@Sandro Felipe Thank you for reaching out here on the forum. We have not seen these behaviors with the base image. Have you tried just our base image with no customizations (e.g. OMV not installed etc) to see if networking is working as expected? Also, you might try just base Raspbian OS to see if you can reproduce the failures with that. We're glad you are enjoying the board and we will get this figured out!
