Unable to see any sata SSD/HDD drives.

I'm currently running the omv-interceptor image from 4/24/24 and I'm not able to see any of my sata drives. I have had the same issues with other images like rpi os lite 64bit+omv7 and desktop-interceptor.

I have three drives attached. 2 HDDs and 1 SSD (brand new) and none of them are showing up in lsblk. I recently found a reference to dma mode while using the serial console during post.

This is from a new install of omv-interceptor using a usb drive.

[ 16.441855] spi-bcm2835 fe204000.spi: error -ENODEV: no tx-dma configuration found - not using dma mode

Could this error be the cause? If so, what can I do to resolve this this?

Good day. i am having issue trying to boot from flash drive using any of the images os available for download, either Desktop or OMV 7. i have 2 different CM4 board. one with MMC and other with out it. i can boot normal using official raspberry pi OS from the official pi imager flashing it directly to the CM4 into the build mmc with no problem login. if i try to flash any of the ISO from the AXZEZ images (Desktop or OMV7 - date 4/24/24) into the CM4 mmc, i get tons of error msg after i try to boot using those images. here's the following errors: BOOT mode: SD (01) order f2564; shows it twice, then says Trying partition: 0 , unexpected error @ 0x0008c9be, FATAL error-code 45. when i boot the CM4 shows the type of CM4 i have.

That was the issue. Flashing the images you provided doesn't work using a windows machine. i was able to boot using a flash drive i manage to image with one of the images (OMV7) using a mac. its asking for the login and password. by default, the credentials for OMV is "admin" along with the name of the os. its not letting me login. Is there a change to the login credentials that i am not aware of ? thank you again for your input.

Awesome! Glad to hear it. No, we made no change to the OMV content. Probably want to check their forums to see if they can advise. If you get resolution, please post it back here for others. Thank you and have fun!

After i installed the image into the MMC, i was able to login with no issue. i wasn't able to log in into the live usb drive. once i figure it out, I'll repost. Thank you sooooo much for you help. really appreciate it !!!

Hello @ewatkins, we're sorry to hear you are having this issue. I double checked our systems here with the current Desktop and OMV7 OS releases and do not see issues with SATA drives.

Can you run (as root) our /usr/sbin/self-test.sh script and share the results with us?

sudo su
self-test.sh

With your drives connected, please.

Were you having issues with our previous OS versions?

This sounds like a CM4 board issue. For the output, I am most curious about the JMB585 and Realtek checks, but you say they pass, so that means we can talk with those ICs. Do you have a different CM4 you can test with? Anytime I hear HDMI issues, I assume it is a bad CM4 board OR the current board is not seated properly.

Looks that you were correct. I used another CM4 board and wrote directly to the eMMC and now I'm able to see the drives.
