Interceptor - Do you sell all cables to attach SATA hdd? Does it require special power or SEPERATE power for SATA 3.5” DISK DRIVES? Can I run Open Media Vault For remote users to store files Over internet? I need clear slow video showing connections requirements/steps. i will also use another one for video camera security capture. I will need detail slow video on that setup as well please. Do you have a case designed to hold disks(SATA 3.5”) and board? I can print it on 3D printer.
most humble appreciation!
if both work, I’ll buy more.
Thank you for the response! (For some reason I cannot get that instagram to work..lol.). I will be acquiring the carrier board in the near future. Hopefully you will have restock by then. I look forward to working with your board in the future. I will definitely give feedback on how i use it and the board’s performance. Do you offer power cable(s) as option for the carrier board? I will be interested in a case as well with cooling in mind as well. I can make my own to encompass all attachments as well. Thank you again!
Hello! The cables are standard SATA cables you can buy at nearly any electronics store (and WalMart and Amazon etc). They are not special to our board. You can see an example setup here on our Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/p/CZA8g7gLm5d/
As far as the power, the power comes from the power supply you are using, which will likely have SATA power connectors (example also show on Instagram). We have not tested Open Media Vault, but I do know of at least one moderator from their site that will be testing it. I don't see a reason why it would not work. Here is that thread https://forum.openmediavault.org/index.php?thread/41469-axzez-inteceptor/
We have no current plans to produce any videos, but we will keep this in mind.
If video camera capture is something you are interested in, you'll want to stay tuned for some updates coming soon from us.
We are working on a 1U case that we will sell at some point. We're waiting on the prototypes to arrive now. We did design a custom Mini ITX adapter board that will allow you to use most any off the shelf case out there (that supports Mini ITX motherboards). Our thought was that there are many NAS cases that support Mini ITX and a lot of us have other old cases laying around that we could use. That adapter is here https://www.axzez.com/product-page/interceptor-board-adapter It is currently sold out, but should be back in stock in a couple of weeks.
