Hey there - I finally got my parts together and flashed the latest axzez OMV image to a USB stick, plugged it into my PSU and... no HDMI output on either port. I saw the RJ45 lights blinking on the WAN port though, so I checked my DHCP server, and... sure enough, it had an IP address. OpenMediaVault is running smoothly from USB live boot. All devices present and accounted for (as far as I can tell).
Thing is I would really rather install axzez-OMV to an SSD on one of the SATA ports. But without HDMi I can't use the boot menu to choose installer mode (though pressing esc on my USB keyboard successfully stops the boot process, so that bootloader is running). What am I missing?
Could it be a CM4 bootloader version issue? I don't have an interface board though; is it possible to check the current version from within the booted system? `dmesg` and `/proc/cpuinfo` don't seem to give any relevant info. What else could cause no output on HDMI0/HDMI1 while booting an otherwise working system?
Well, shit. The new CM4 solved it. What a weird way for a chip to die. Is there anything I should try for the old CM4 or is it destined for the electro-recycling heap? Seems a waste.
